Cow-sized UFO Hits Wind Turbine

There are reports that a cow-sized UFO hit a wind turbine and sheared off the blades. A mad-cow-UFO, no doubt. Now, as blogger lightbucket explains, the mysterious lights seen in the area were probably a neighbor’s fireworks. And, it turns out, you don’t need an alien cow to shear the blades off a wind turbine. Sometimes the blades just fail.

But isn’t this how all shaggy dog, mad cow, or “The President’s and Illegal Alien” stories get started? Facts are made up, a fun (to some) narrative is created, the story takes off in the tabloids, and, before you know it, Elvis lives!
